Accepted Research Paper in Transaction of JSRAE
We are pleased that our research paper which aims to evaluate the ignitability of arc discharge generated at the gap of electric contact is accepted for publishing from the Transaction of Japan Society of Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers. This research is conducted as a part of the project of “Development of Technology and Assessment Techniques for Next-Generation Refrigerants with a Low GWP Value” conducted by NEDO. In this paper, the ignitability of the arc discharge was carefully evaluated based on the arc discharging energies which were generated at open/close acts of electric relay installed in the main circult with various consumption powers of electric loads and ignition tests which this relay was operated in the propane/air premixture. Mr. Natsuru Tomita, who was former master course student in our laboratory, contributes to this paper.
