On 7th, September 2022, the annual conference of the Japan Society for Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (JSRAE) was held in Okayama University. Imamura has presented research results entitled "Experimental Evaluation of Ignitability for R290 with Various Ignitable Sources".  It is conducted as a part of research project of  "Development of Technology and Assessment Techniques for Next-Generation Refrigerants with a Low GWP Value" presented by NEDO. In this paper, we examined ignitability of various ignitable sources like arc discharge generated at the gap of electrical contact, hot surface, laser beam, hot wire, and so on assuming installation of R290 as refrigerant of a room air conditioner. This conference was the first face-to-face meeting in recent three years due to COVID-19. Although we think that there are many merits for online meeting, we are still exciting for face-to-face meeting. We think there is something which can not be obtained by online.
